COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
GIVING BACK
- TD’s College Scholarship Fund is designed to assist students who are entering or attending college and have participated in Theatrical Delights’ (TD) program. This scholarship was created to show appreciation and give back to them for their work and to sow into their future.
- Dependent upon funds availability, a maximum of $550 will be awarded as a scholarship once per year, in September. If the fund is large enough to accommodate more, more scholarships may be given.
- Dependent upon funds availability, only one recipient per year will receive the Development Stipend, from September to August.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
- Hours may be earned as an employee or a volunteer during the summer or any time TD is in operation. This includes planning meetings, promotional events, etc.
- For the Nadine Brown Scholarship, applicant must be pursuing an Arts major, in a job field currently offered within TD: acting, art, computer technicians, dancing, modeling, photography, videographer, secretary or entrepreneur in any field.
- A student may receive a maximum of three awards TOTAL (one per year), which can be consecutive.
- A student may receive the Development Stipend only once.
- Choosing the awardee will be based on the following: Number of hours worked (priority), the essay and the performance evaluation during their tenure.

1. A Scholarship Request Application must be completed.
2. Applicant must be entering or attending college. A college acceptance letter or transcript must be included with each application.
3. Applicant must have worked the appropriate number of hours for the requested award.
4. Must type a 100-word essay for the Ruby award; 150-word essay for the Prevailing award; 200-word essay for the Nadine and the Stipend awards.
The essay should be entitled “How Working at Theatrical Delights Benefited Me”. This essay should tell the story of your work journey at TD and include things such as: how you thought at the beginning of the program, what you liked and/or learned from activities and training sessions, how you benefited* from what you learned and how your thinking matured by the end of the program.
*Benefits could include things such as: your parents didn’t have to pay for you to attend, this was your first job experience, you learned how to save money, etc.
5. The typed 200-word essay should start with the 100-word essay (#4 above) and then go on to include a sub-topic of “How I Am Utilizing My TD Knowledge”. This sub-topic should be 100 words expressing how TD’s program enhanced yourprofessional development knowledge and how you are currently applying this knowledge to meet your short and long-term goals.
6.The same essay may be used for each year you apply; however, at least one new recent experience on how you are applying your knowledge must be added each year.
7. Scholarship payments can either be sent via Cash app or mailed to the address on the application.
8. Applicant(s) will be notified in August and awarded in September.
9. For promotional purposes, at least three (3) photographs of the recipient are required and will be posted on TD’s social media sites.
10. Applications will be accepted July 1st through July 31st each year and should be postmarked no later than July 31st..
